Restore our Republic Endorses Barry Loudermilk in GA-1105 Jun 2013
Washington, DC – In its first endorsement of the 2014 election cycle, Restore our Republic PAC endorses Republican State Senator Barry Loudermilk (District 14) in the race for the open seat in Georgia’s eleventh congressional district.
State Sen. Loudermilk has served in the Georgia State House and Senate since 2005 where he quickly stood out as a conservative leader. A self-described “constitutional conservative,” Loudermilk has a deep understanding of America’s limited-government heritage and has pledged to vote based on the Constitution, not the party line.
Loudermilk has consistently demonstrated political courage, voting against new taxes and fees even when a majority of his colleagues supported those efforts. He was also a member of the 216 Policy Group, a group of conservative state representatives that included then-State Rep. Tom Graves, dedicated to promoting liberty, limited government and personal responsibility.
“State Sen. Barry Loudermilk is a strong free-market conservative who has demonstrated unwavering commitment to constitutional principles,” ROR President Jeff Landry said, “and that is exactly the kind of person we need in Washington. His willingness to vote against harmful legislation even when his own party was against him is a sign of his conviction and courage. Restore our Republic is proud to endorse Barry Loudermilk for Congress.”
